It feels like a thing built on lies and promises, but it works, somehow it does. A few hours ago the first customers picked out their packages from Bytelove Inc , the new US subsidiary of Bytelove AB. So I have had a Wester Digital TV Media Box for a while, great little thing plays almost everything you throw at it, even MKV in 1080p. But has not networking capabilities. Until now, just managed to install a custom firware and after a lot of googleing and crap finally understod how to configure it (haxxers really need to learn usability) and hooray it works like a charm! The firmware is called WDLXTV, google it if you want it.
After a certain trial the debate regarding a free vs controlled net has pretty much exploded here in Germany. Here the front cover from Der Spiegel nr 33 .
